HAPPY HALLOWEEN

This year for MNSSHP we went as the parade dancing ghost from the Haunted Mansion section! This look took about 2 hours for both of us to create. My costume was a “ghost bride” from Spirit Halloween. The bottom of the dress was alittle too long and I was nervous that I would get caught in the moving walk ways at Magic Kingdom. We just trimmed the bottom and ended up using the scrap fabric. His costume was just some black jeans and an old Dance costume jacket with some spiderwebs and the extra fabric from my dress. We got so many stares and at least 7 compliments before even entering MK! I was so proud!

Party On!

The party was super fun! We got tons of candy. This year there are 15 treat locations in the park. The candy this year was provided by Mars. This included; Snickers, Milky Way, KitKat, and Dove chocolate. Also included are Halloween mix Skittles and Starburst. There’s over 40 types of candy at these treat locations! Disney also offers an Allergy Free treat option. For these treats, you would follow the same treat locations but show them your Allergy free treat bag and receive a token. These tokens can be redeemed at 2 locations where you have the choice of different snacks and candy with a list of allergies that match your needs. I used this candy method because most of the candy was chocolate and I don’t like chocolate. Although I don’t have an allergy, chocolate has always made my stomach upset. I traded my tokens in and got handfuls of Smarties, Werther’s Carmel’s, and other gummy snacks. Be sure to check out other treats around the park for purchase. These exclusive treats include; Mickey Halloween cupcake, Candy Corn Icecream, Haunted Mansion portrait dessert, Mickey pumpkin cheeese cake dome, Pumpkin Mickey waffle Sunday, Jack Skellington push pop dessert and much more!

We didn’t get to meet any special characters that they had out. We really wanted to meet Jack and Sally but the line was over 2 hours long! Some special characters that were exclusively out were Snow White and all 7 dwarfs, Lot So Bear, Moana, and Prince Eric who joins Ariel!

It’s Just a Bunch of Hocus Pocus!

Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular was the highlight of the night! My all time FAVORITE Disney show! The show is held on the main castle stage. This amazing show really gives the Halloween feel. I don’t want to say much about it because I don’t want to ruin the surprises but it stars the infamous Sanderson Sisters from the classic film, “Hocus Pocus”. This spectacular show is filled with fireworks, Disney villains, dancers, and spooky songs! It’s a MUST SEE.

BOO TO YOU

The Boo to You Parade is one of my favorites as well! This parade includes all the adorable characters dressed in spooky holiday garbe! They include characters that you don’t see at the parks daily and that are exclusive to the Halloween party which is always nice for photo opportunities. The soundtrack to this parade is super catchy and will leave you singing all night long! There are 2 opportunities to watch this parade during the events hours, so be sure not to miss it!

HALLOWISHES FIREWORKS

There’s a special Halloween firework show called “Happy HalloWishes”. These will definitely light up the sky with all the spooky spirits. Best viewing area is on MainStreet but for a less crowded area try behind the castle in Fantasy Land. There is only 1 firework showing at 10:00 pm!

MNSSHP TIPS & TRICKS

  • Arrive Early- The party officially starts at 7:00 pm. However, you can get in as early as 4:00pm

  • Dress Up- normal park days no one over the age of 12 is allowed to dress in costume. For the Halloween party everyone is welcome to! See Disney website for rules and guidelines for adult costumes.

  • Seek Out Spots- find the treats spots and plan accordingly. You can go through the treat stops as many times throughout the night as you’d like.

  • Build Your Night Around Halloween Festivites- these shows and parades are event nights only. So don’t miss out. Plan out your ride around the special show times for these exclusive parades

  • Meet & Greet- save time for exclusive character meet and greets. Hit them early before it gets too crowded.

  • 7PM- a very important time. At 7:00pm treats and characters start and the party comes alive. Make a plan before that time hits. Most people go for treats so they will be more crowded.

* I do not own any photo besides the personal photos with myself in them.
