It's a Food and Wine Feast!

I recently went to Epcot to try out some of this year's delicious dishes served at the Food & Wine Festival. I went on opening day which was August 31st. This event runs until November 13, 2017 and it's included in your park ticket to Epcot or Park Hopper. I went with my sister and my mom which was a great idea because we all got something different and we got to share each dish!
First Up!
CHINA

The dish that I chose was the Black Pepper Shrimp with Garlic Noodles. This is a plate that I get every year! It is one of my favorites and a great portion! $5.75 is the cost for these shrimp noodles. Totally worth it!

My sister got the Chicken Pot Stickers for $4.00. The sauce was amazing. Pot stickers are one of my favorite foods in general so these definitely lived to the expectation.

Lastly in China we ordered the Beijing Roasted Duck Bao Bun With Hoisin. This is one of my mom's favorites. It's a little on the spicy side. When I tried the duck, it was a bit tough to chew and a tad bit dry. In my opinion, The bao bun is best part! My mom tried this same dish on another day and she said her's was perfectly fine. Maybe mine had been sitting out longer or the chefs were different, I am not sure.
The cost is $6.50.
CANADA

The cost of this “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce is $8.00. This is a bit on the pricey side of the dishes but it is a filet mignon and SO worth it. This is for sure one of my top 3 favorite dishes. So tender and flavorful!

Next is the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup served with a Pretzel Roll for $5.00. For me, the soup was too chunky for my liking but very flavorful! And who doesn't love bread!
LIGHT LAB - New!

The Light Lab was really cool. It was all under a black light and had a scientific futuristic feel. I got the Limited Time Offer: The Glownut. This Glownut goes for $3.00 and is a huge donut! Very sweet and delicious. However, it was just a regular donut... I think the reason it is called a Glownut is because the white frosting glows under the black light.

The beverage pictured in the photo is the T=CC2: Vanilla Tonic Water and Cotton Candy a Non-Alcoholic drink for $3.75. The way they made this is really cute. Dressed as a scientist, the cast member carefully measures the syrup and soda and pour it over a piece of cotton candy. The drink itself was so gross. I hate to say it was like the Beverly soda in Italy with candy syrup. It was definitely not what I thought it was but still very unique.
THAILAND - Newly Returning

Marinated Chicken with Peanut Sauce and Stir-fried Vegetables for $4.75 is the next dish we got. My mom could not try this one because she can not have peanuts. Overall this dish was okay. Not one of our favorites, it has an aquired taste.

The plate my mom got was the Seared Shrimp and Scallop Cake with Cold Noodle Salad for $5.00. The actual scallop cake was very tasty and warm. The cold noodle salad in our opinion did not pair well with the scallop cake. It had a strange after taste.
This concludes my 1st trip to Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Stay tuned for more photos and reviews of other dishes and treats from my next trip.
