Disney FuelRod Stations - "Power ready to Go"

ReCharge The Magic

Disney parks have now offered a way to recharge your battery while you've been wasting it away by taking photos and playing games in long lines. They provide a really cool way to recharge your devices with multiple charging stations.

What Is It?

A FuelRod is a ready to use power source that supplies an adapter to charge both Android and Apple devices. The adapter also lets you recharge your FuelRod at home after being at the parks. In the parks, you are welcome to swap out your FuelRod for a freshly charged one for unlimited amount of times!

Cost?

The cost of a charged ready to use FuelRod with both charging applicators, unlimited swaps, and the ability to recharge is $30.00 at the parks.

How It Works

1.Seek out a charging station in the park labeled FuelRod. There are at least 2 in each park, as well as Disney Springs

2. To swap, press swap on the touch screen. Load the empty rod into the slot where you will line up the barcode.

3. PRESTO CHANGE-O! A new ready to use FuelRod pops out from the bottom and you're good to go!

Is It Worth It?

This seems to be the biggest question. In my opinion, If you are vactioning at the parks for 3 days or more then I suggest this is a good idea. If you are constantly on your phone recording memories, checking wait times on My Disney Experience app or playing games during long wait times then this is for you.

Being an Annual Passholder, it's TOTALLY worth it. I'm at the parks at least twice a week and I feel like it is worth the $30.00. I hear that its cheaper ($20) at the airports. However, I have not seen a station there for myself at our Orlando Int. airport. There probably is one, I just have not found it. If you don't feel the FuelRod is a fit for you, Disney also has a tech charging station that is free. You can always park a seat by an outlet if you have the time.

If you're a local like me or have a trip coming up, check it out!
